Re: Loneliness

Hey there @PeppyPatti 🙂🌺

Hopefully my post was a reassurance and grounding for you 🙂

I also feel those same symptoms - simply because, and I say it with gentleness, our brains aren’t the same anymore 💜💜🌺

Tangents are fun - never feel bad for who you are now sweets, we are the glorious differences that mainstream society cannot yet see 😍🫂🌺

There are many of us with brain injury; we often don’t say a word for fear of discrimination and stigmatisation. Times they are a’changing, and you completely matter, have the same value as others without TBI/ABI, and you have the ox inside the flamingo that pushes hard for justice behind the scenes for us 🙂💜

I worked before brain injury.. I was working an IT role, actually it was two roles in one (one in purchasing and one in sales) when the company was short staffed. I was also studying in the evenings, and working as a manual therapist on the weekends. I used to be a fitness model, and I used to ride motorcycles on race tracks (called track days) for funzies.
When I was run over (no fault of my own - hit and run), I lost myself for a few years, but after pushing hard to recover on my own (no medical or other supports at all), I went to uni. Was hard. I did it.
I’m back at uni now.
And please never worry about triggering me - that just doesn’t happen with genuine curiosity and said with compassion as you have today  🙂🌺

ask me anything, as you please

Re: Loneliness

Oh hectic @Shaz51 - my mum has sleep apnea too. I reckon it's a big thing to process, but also very treatable, so I hope that if it is the case, it results in relief and better rest for you hun.

Re: Loneliness

Thanks @Former-Member , @Jynx

Re: Loneliness

Thanks @Shaz51

It has been a good day. Quiet, but just went out for nice dinner with folks. Chilling for the rest of the evening.

I think I just saw you might have sleep apnoea? Hope it can be properly diagnosed and sorted for you

Re: Loneliness

It's been very good, thanks @Oaktree
