I really like the English country cottage look but any ideas are gratefully received 🤓.

How about oddments @Former-Member ?  Boxes of enough to do a seventh (or so) of the space each, and mix them up, or create a pattern ?  You might find some feature times that appeal as well floral, or beach themed, or a favourite colour.

These might not suit your taste, but they will give you the drift ....

@Former-Member , take another look at that shower head image you posted.  It would seem that that bathroom has been tiled with an assortment of different tiles - not just the one in the foreground ..... there is a large dark tile behind the water flow.
