Loneliness

I’ve had another mental health episode after a steady 3 years. And my parents left for 6 weeks overseas the day after it happened. I’ve been in my sharehouse in Melbourne and have had support from my therapist and physiatrist and friends.  But I’ve been so lonely. My younger brother came and stayed last night and we went for a walk and coffee this morning and had a good chat and I felt a little less lonely. And then I played with my housemates cat for the first time (she’s very shy) and I got losts of cuddles and felt less lonely today. Taking it one day at a time. Life can be hard.

Re: Loneliness

@mysticmadge  Sorry to hear of your struggle, life is hard at times. It is good that you have support from friends, brother and health professionals. What is your mental health condition? I have a lived experience of depression and anxiety. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Re: Loneliness

thank you. Yeah I’m glad to have their support. Psychosis and psychotic episode but also anxiety and depression. I’m feeling a bit better each day and back at work and upped my medication. Feeling less lonely since being back at work which is good. What do you find helps you best when you’re feeling low?
